Considering the Realities of the Holocaust:
U.S. History-Based Unit built on Google Earth

Scenario

An international committee designed to investigate the accuracies of history has hired you to develop a multi-media presentation to demonstrate the tragic reality of the Jewish Holocaust. The committee has issued you a contract that contains a variety of expectations. The committee expects you to fulfill each of their expectations, and they have agreed to compensate you according to the following rubric:

Student packet includes:

• Fifteen activities designed to develop awareness of Holocaust and critical thinking skills.
• Multi-media project assignment and rubric
• Bibliography

Teacher Packet includes:

• Relevant content standards
• Suggested teaching strategies

Teachers can adapt as necessary. Entire unit can last up to 10 hours!
