Where the Red Fern Grows:
Twitter Questions

Description

This Twitter Questions unit contains more than 200 questions to prompt discussions about Wilson Rawls' Where the Red Fern Grows. These questions are meant to prompt discussions in a natural way, as the best discussions progress organically. Students have the opportunity to ask each other questions, to support each other's opinions, and to thoughtfully challenge these opinions. The same opportunities exist on Twitter.

This unit includes a thorough explanation of how to use Twitter in the classroom. Use it to promote the use of 21st Century Technology while studying traditional literature!

Sample Questions:

  • What can you learn about the narrator's personality from this chapter? How do you learn this?
  • Explain the meaning: "It's strange... how memories can lie dormant in a man's mind for so many years."
  • In the final paragraphs of the chapter, what does light represent? Explain. (Consider the use of light bulbs in comic strips.)
  • Write one sentence that you would have written before the beginning of this chapter. Make sure it fits the rest of the chapter.
  • If you could ask the narrator one question, what would you ask him?

One license enables a single teacher to use this product with all of his/her students.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

spacerIt was one of the most incredible educational programs I have seen in my fifteen year involvement with U.S.Y. There was no way for us to not to become involved in the program.
