Assessment Design Services
Assessment development is a primary component of our service offerings. We've designed thousands of assessment questions in all subjects, both standardized and customized, for K-12, higher education, and vocational training. A Pass brings expertise in mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies. We've also completed assessment projects for a wide variety of courses including Spanish, communications, economics, psychology, sociology, and business.
A Pass Educational Group has written assessment items aligned with the Common Core State Standards for both of the two national consortia responsible for the entire effort. We are thrilled to offer our expertise to this monumental project.
A Pass recognizes that test questions should not be limited to lower-order thinking skills. Our hundreds of experienced assessment writers understand how to write questions across Bloom's Taxonomy and Depth of Knowledge levels that challenge critical thinking and logic skills.
Types of Assessment
Give us your learning materials, and we’ll design your exams. A Pass can write formative and summative assessments using a variety of formats based on textbooks, e-books, and other course materials provided.
E-learning is critical in the classroom. Let us help design online assessments that can be paired with traditional texts or online learning tools. Whether you are looking for multiple choice, sorting, matching, or other types of technology-enhanced items, A Pass can work with your classroom materials to create original formative or summative assessments aligned to your courses.
A Pass specializes in standards-aligned assessment items. Whatever type of question you need, we ensure that each item is aligned to the grade level and benchmark.
Selected Response (Multiple Choice)
Typical multiple choice items offer three or four answer choices, depending on grade level and subject matter. A Pass can create reading passages, tables, graphs, or any other stimulus necessary for the question. We can also provide rationales to explain the correct and incorrect answer choices as needed.
A Pass can craft items for which there is only one possible correct answer that students will have to determine from their knowledge of the benchmark.
Constructed response or extended and essay response questions can be written complete with rubrics and example student responses.
Need students to perform a series of activities and tasks that measure concept mastery? A Pass can design a lab or activity, complete with teacher and student instructions for multi-step tasks as well as rubrics and student examples of mastery.
